Default Bad Neighborhood?

Hi I have kind of an odd question. I was looking to purchase a tv from someone that had posted on Craigslist and they live in the area between lloyd and washington blvd just east of N.55th and west of Washington Park is that neighborhood generally safe or is it not a good neighborhood to travel to?

It's mixed racially but is by no means ghetto. I've had friends that lived in the area. It never hurts to be careful so take along a friend and go during the day.

Yeah, I think actually that that neighborhood is actually pretty good.

My brother-in-law and his wife live somewhat near there (in the Lennox Heights neighborhood) around 60s-ish and Girard, and I traverse commonly through the area you are talking about. One of the nicer, kind of underrated pockets in the city of Milwaukee.

That's a fine neighborhood. I drive through there, walk through there and bike through there. I have never once had an issue that would make me hesitate for a second going there. In fact I'm a little shocked that someone would even to think to ask this question. What this says to me is that the City of Milwaukee has a major image problem. I mean, if a perfectly safe, clean neighborhood like Washington Heights is perceived to be a "bad neighborhood" that's a problem.

That's the truth that so often invades people's thoughts after watching too much Fox6 news.

That is an awful neighborhood. I was once mugged and beat up while walking thru there. It used to be one of the nicer neighborhoods in milwaukee, but has become riddled with high crime and unruly behavior.
