I am buying a car in Chicago and I live in Milwaukee. Which state tax do I pay? Also, how do I register the car in Milwaukee? What are the fees?

Are you buying from a dealer? If from a private person, you pay no tax until you register the car in WI. You'll pay state and local tax - dependent on the purchase price, $69.50 for title transfer and about $75 for tags if you don't already have non-expired tags.
