Hi
We are an Indian family of 4 (kids age 12 and 9) planning to move to Milwaukee. Seeking your help on following points -

Recommendation on good suburb to live -

- sizeable Indian community
- good elementary and middle schools

Are there any good suburbs (as per criteria above) closer to Chicago? (will be traveling to Chicago quite often)

thanks for your help.

cheers,

Oak Creek or Franklin may suit you.

Kenosha? Pleasant Prairie? Burlington? - closest to Chicago.

Hales Corner, Franklin, New Berlin, Greenfield, Oak Creek? - closer to Milwaukee, less rural, definitely lots of apartment complexes and Indian people around.

You cannot really get wrong with either choice...

I would recommend Shorewood. Even though it is pricey. You get what you pay for. I have several Indian friends that would agree with my recommendation. You get what you pay for. Very good schools. It is the first suburb north of Milwaukee so similar to Evanston, IL but not nearly that pricey. Close enough to Chicago imo.

Thanks Guys. Much appreciated.

As i hear Shorewood, Oak Creek, new berlin, franklin are common recommendations.

Shorewood, Oak creek doesnt seem to have any 8+ rating school (great school ratings)......am i reading this correct?.

New Berlin has a couple of 9 rated schools. Are there any good middle schools with large number of Indian kids?.

Another question on rentals. Is 2500 $ a good budget for a 3 bedroom house in these neighbourhood ?

thanks

Both Shorewood and Whitefish Bay schools were ranked top 5 in the State before.
