Do you own a home in Milwaukee County?
Better than the bye-bye to all of the residents who wouldn't be able to afford even higher property taxes than the already very high tax burden in the county and would have to move.
Oh...and I think Milwaukee County's parks are really nice and are if anything better than 20 years ago or so. I keep hearing how the parks were "deteriorating", yet, I never heard any specific examples of which parks had a problem, what the problems are, etc.

No, I don't own a home in Milwaukee, however that should not prohibit me from having a say in issues that affect us. I didn't say the parks weren't nice, however I used to work for the parks & he laid off a huge amount of full-time park workers & ever since then I have noticed things that haven't been getting done. Such as mowing, although really I don't care about it but I've heard a lot of residents raising hell about that, tree trimming, weeding, the state of ponds in the parks, cracks in pavements, etc. I could go on but I won't. Also, the bus system is pretty bad & it will just get worse w/ cuts in routes & higher fares. Seems like he's shafting people who can't afford cars or maybe choose not to use their car to save money on gas. But you know, that's my opinion

I'm glad Scott Walker won re-election. Maybe there's hope for MKE county yet. Lena Taylor would have taken us back to the pension scandal days, only worse.
