Met a guy online in the Milwaukee area. Really nice person, in fact overly nice. Good looking as well. A few dilemmas ….

1- he has an odd smell- not BO- but a funky odor that I find repulsive - seems like it’s his skin smell and then he covers it with repulsive cologne. I honestly find it disgusting. I can’t place the smell sort of like wet musty basement with sweaty socks.

2- his apartment is barren with an additional funky odd odor. It’s not messy or cluttered, but not clean - like the sink looks dirty from a build up of crud around the faucet and the toilet look like it hasn’t been scrubbed in 6 months etc

3- he has HSV 2 Herpes - 3 rd guy since I moved here- is this normal in Milwaukee?

Bottom line not sure how to deal with any of it - how do you tell a nice person they smell and their apartment stinks? As far as the STD…. Well we haven’t gone there as I’m on the fence

Also we are both 44- he seems a bit old to be living in a crudy barren stink hole at his age…

Where do you find single successful guys in Milwaukee????

Good Lord. If this is what you have found, you haven't looked very hard, or in the right places. You don't judge an entire city by one man. "Is this normal in Milwaukee"...that one made me laugh.

Perhaps they are using the same bath towel over and over. They will get a musty, gross smell after a time.

You decide. What would your ideal man do in his spare time? That's where you meet them.

My boss is single. His family is very wealthy. He is in a cycling club that cycles every week. He goes to spin class all winter. He goes to bars with friends to educational beer tasting sessions. He goes to outdoor concerts. You pick what your man does. Then you go there to find him busy doing what he loves.

Meeting through online is easy. But it's like hiring people, most of your prospects looking are unemployed already, for some reason.
