Kenosha Latinos?
Hi everyone! My husband's in the military and we just found out that we'll be moving to Kenosha in July. I spent about 5 years in Madison, and I love WI, so I'm very excited.
My question is where the hell are all the latinos in Kenosha?? I've been searching everywhere online for the latino community and I can't find anything but the Dual Immersion School (which is AWESOME). Does anyone know anything about this school?
My husband is Mexican, I'm white and speak Spanish, and it's important to me that my kids are exposed regularly to the heritage/culture.
I've read through many of the threads on the Kenosha area and they have been extremely helpful!
Thanks in advance for any help!

The term race is a outdated concept. In other words there is only one human race and anyone believing otherwise is a racialist or a racist. There is no biological, physical, genetic, or anthropological evidence suggesting that humans can be divided into races. Now if you were discussing differences between humans and aliens/extraterrestrials it would make sense to use the word race to divide the two species.
The op is simply trying to ask if anyone knows of a Latino/Hispanic community in Wisconisn. And for you to say your not trying to be mean yet you tell her she can go to Mexico if she's looking for a hispanic community. Get real. This is the U.S. We have a diverse population and hispanic communities do exist here.

my problem i think people/she should/'ve state/d their nationalitythen not a race compared to an nationality(country) group or ethnic group like latinos because their are white ones if you ever visit many latin american countries you ll see and you may be amazed since people think that latinos(american label) look a certain way.
she also said she want him to learn that side of the culture, so what culture does she represent, white? lmao what is white culture doesnt make sense shes american.

I think what 414 meant was you mentioned white for you, which is a race, & mexican for your husband when I guess you meant hispanic. Strictly a technicality. No worries, no haters here, at least not w/me! However, I suggest you don't go on the immigration forum...yikes are people scary on there! Now there is where you'll find all the haters.

If you want more of a "Latino immersion" experience than Kenosha can offer, you might consider living in Waukegan instead. It's only 10 or 15 miles south and it's about 50% Latino.
