#4859-A 1000 $1,640
#222E 1000 $1,910
#123E 1000 $1,575
Bay Village townhomes
These are the options minus a $150 parking fee, and $40 dog fee for the townhomes I have found in the shore wood whitefish Bay Area, the lower cost ones have not been updated. They look like low income places to me even with that price, but maybe I am just not used to the area.

There are a number of apartment buildings on henry clay in wfb. There has been a significant increase. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/4...63189417_zpid/

You might find cheaper apartments in Brown Deer.

Shoreline does have some cheaper apartments on the east side. https://shorelinerealestate.com/apartments/

Henry Clay apartments are older, not renovated recently, but generally speaking nice.

Brown Deer used to be an ok community, but is getting worse considerably.

I agree with the idea that this area is very safe. Like, it was always quiet and mellow over there on the Lower East Side. I used to walk around over there a lot during the day and night last Summer. Probably get one of those steering wheel locks for your car, and if you do explore across the River, don’t go West of Holton
One of my single daughters lives there. A fun community with lots of special events. Halloween is awesome as they block of the streets for a two block circle party and do cook outs in the front yards.

thanks for the suggestions, Brown Deer out of the question. The links are for decent apartments, but yet again don't take dogs and have communal laundry. A few don't have inside parking or a garage. I can't imagine parking on a street in snow, and frankly don't want to deal with that or with car theft. The laundry at my age I just can't do it... I've tried and half the time they are broken and/or my clothes are taken. And, if I didn't have a small dog maybe there would be more options... so far nothing suggested works.

One of the more aggravating things about Wisconsin is that there doesn’t seem to be as many large apartment complexes here compared to other places I’ve lived. There are some, but they’re often bland with little in the way of amenities. Also, they tend to be pricey for what you get, at least by midwestern standards.
It’s a terrible place for good rentals. But hey, if upper/downers are your thing, they’ve got you covered.

Crime is spreading out from the core communities. The automobile manors are disappearing.
