Is there a sales tax when purchasing a vehicle? (Milwaukee: moving, stadium)

Moving from another state where there is no sales tax, would like to find out if there is a sales tax when purchasing a vehicle. What is the county use tax I've read about?

The sales tax in most counties is 6.5%. In Milwaukee county and the counties surrounding Milwaukee, add on another .1%. There is no county use tax, at least not yet.

Did something change recently? It was alwas 5% statewide, plus .5% for Milwaukee and a couple of others. Then the .1% stadium tax in the southeast, plus .5% in the Green Bay area.

Don't tell me Wisconsin hiked it a full 1%?

My mistake. For some reason 6%was in my head. Must have been thinking about my mortgage. Sorry if I created any cofusion.
