Realtor/real estate agent and "green" builder recommendations
Hey, all! My husband and I are finally moving back to Wisconsin after a loooooong 2 1/2 years in Nebraska. Initially, we're going to rent for a while, but we'd like to get a head start looking for homes or for land to buy and build exactly what we want.
Does anybody have any recommendations for a great buyer's agent to help us start looking for an existing home or a plot of land? Due to my husband's new job, it's mandatory that we have to live within the county.
Also, if we do end up finding a plot of land (or even a home to remodel), does anyone know of any builders in the area who are familiar with green (i.e. eco-friendly) building/remodeling practices? We would love to have an environmentally friendly home, but don't know where to even begin looking for builders who specialize in such things.
Thanks in advance for any tips! Can't wait to be a Wisconsinite again! (18 days and counting!)

Brookstone Homes, Inc.
Congratulations on moving back to Wisconsin!!
Depending on the area you will be relocating back to would determine which realtor I would refer to you. I have many friends in the industry, and have to say.. interview, interview, interview. Many do this part time w/ the way the market currently is. Brad Koenig w/ your local home team; First Weber Lake Mills covers Jefferson & WaukeshaCounty. He is a rock star!!
In regards to builders, I recommend Brookstone Homes, hands down! Their process is easy!!
Brookstone Homes is dedicated to making the buying, building, and owning of your new home easy.
Brookstone has higher than average customer satisfaction results, & is 1 of only 2 builders in WI w/ an NHQ certification. (NHQ: promoting innovation in housing to improve the quality, durability, affordability & environmental performance of homes & building materials).
They build a quality home for a true value price. One of very few builders in Wisconsin that offer "turn-Key" financing; No Construction Loans, & Guaranteed pricing.
Brookstone does not have the "green" certification; they do build their homes according to the specifications though. They are Energy Star Certified.
Visit their website, www.brookstonehomes.com See for yourself!!

I guess I forgot to mention where we'll be living! Due to my husband's job, which is with the county, we have to live within Milwaukee County. The apartment we've found is in West Allis, but I would like to settle in Glendale, Wauwatosa, or another suburb, or even more on the outskirts of the county if we can find a house/land that we love.
