Exclamation South to Milwaukee, avoiding Chicago???

Hello,

I have to take a trip to Milwaukee on Super Bowl Sunday. We will be hitting Chicago right at noon time. A family member who lives in Chicago said it will be a zoo at that time....we can't leave any earlier, so I'm wondering if there's a good alternate route that won't add much time to our trip?

We are coming from Louisville, KY.

Thanks!!!

I don't see why it wouldn't be a good time.
Everyone here will most likely be watching the football game!

The game isn't on until the evening, but my sister lives in Chicago and every time we have gone to visit her on a weekend (we live in Milwaukee) and returned home around noon, the traffic has been fine. MAybe your sister was thinking about the traffic into Chicago from the south since the Bears are playing. People may be just coming into the city to find a place to watch the evening game at a local establishment. I wouldn't worry about it. Probably taking 294 around the city rather than 94 through the city would be better. Good Luck!

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if traffic wasn't all that bad. People might be running around the city preparing for their superbowl parties, but the game isn't on until later at night, and it promises to be brutally cold that day, so I don't think a lot of people will want to be out and about. I know that I do not intend to venture from my house until 4:00pm when I head over to the superbowl party that I'm attending, and then won't venture out again until the game is over.
