You're welcome. Being open-minded is great, but not so open-minded that one's brain falls out.

His attitude of defeatism on the surge was the vote breaker. McCain supported the surge, while Obama did not. Ok, McCain was right. Rather than admit, he was wrong Obama chose to be another George W. never admitting wrong.
Also, I'm a vietnam era veteran. In the military, at that time, were mostly draftees. I now realize, that when I and many of my fellow veterans, close that curtain to vote, we can never forget. I still carry the pain of a Democratic President lying to us and sending us into harms way because he couldn't admit it was a mistake. I'm sure, if George W. had failed in the surge and our casuality list grew, the new veterans would feel the same stab in the back. When I came home, I was spit on by the so called American people...like I had a choice? My entire generation was formatted by the war. I haven't forgotten the liberal protesters, nor, the democratic party for lying.
Palin, with her son about to be deployed, knows the anguish that my parents felt. McCain, knows the pain of being lied to and bargained with. I urge all my fellow veterans to REMEMBER!!!
I pretty much agree with you. The best choice for these perilous times is the man who has been tested under extreme pressure. McCain is a Patriot, and I trust his judgement for the things that threaten our very security in today's world. God bless you sir, and thank you for your service!

NO, I think he was saying that in reality most democrates like yourself are only so called open minded if the other person agrees with you.

McCain. Down here in Chicagoland Obama was a "community organizer" for the democratic machine (i.e Daley). Obama sat in the Illinois state senate and voted "present" time after time...I guess he couldnt make a decision. Then, thanks to Daley and the machine "bosses" (and his good teleprompter reading skills) Obama was elected "celebrity senator" which basically means cocktail parties and photo ops with the rich and elite.

he's definitely not a war monger. I believe that he is just trying to protect the american people and show terrorists that america is not playing around when it comes to terrorism. he is not picking fights with other countries,
He was one of the dolts trying to blame Iraq for 9/11 as soon as it happened. He's been in the lead in threatening Iran and even implying that we all ought to hang our heads in shame because we aren't at war with Russia over Georgia for Christ's sake. I'd call that a pretty solid record of picking fights.

muslims from different countries have declared jihad with america. do you really think that if we leave them alone they will just leave us alone??
Depends which Muslims and which countries you are talking about. By and large, however, the answer is yes. People don't cross oceans and commit suicide for the privilege of killing their enemies because of a theological difference. They do it for revenge. If you have no idea why they might want revenge, please take the trouble to educate yourself instead of regurgitating propaganda from Sean Hannity.

and as for Palin i think she has the tenacity and fight that is needed to help change things in washington.
Change what things? Ban books? Teach creationism in schools? Teach abstinence only sex ed (worked out so well for her kid, after all)? That's change all right, but you can keep it!

what can i say?? you definitely made me laugh! an armegeddon forecaster?? LOL regurgitating propaganda from sean hannity?? LOL and by the way yes creationism should be taught in schools. and maybe you should educate yourself on the banning of the books you are referencing. Palin asked the librarian what she would do if someone wanted to ban books but wait for it... wait for it... no books were banned.

Maybe you should educate yourself.....people don't commit suicide for revenge. They do it for the sake of their religious beliefs. This goes back to Biblical times. What do you thinks these guys were shouting as they were flying the planes into the WTC and the Penagon? It wasn't "Got You Back Good This Time Didn't We?" "Can't wait for the seventy virgins"

You make me laugh REALLY!

Since when is Obama not as responsible for the war as Bush and McCain? He voted every year for the cost didn't he? I didn't hear of him initiating any legislation to stop the war. Geez, a guy who has no experience in running anything, but talks a good talk is going to change things! Get real! He's a liberal lacky...to the tax and spend democrats..
Talk about scum, who is Bill and Hillary....Bill the sex pervert and Hillary the crroked lawyer. Nice team!

I just dont know! Still on the fence, I know a few Rep. politicans and they are worried about McCain's age and being a former POW, his mental health. Obama is a liberal but does seem to be able to layout his plan pretty well and has a message. I'm a moderate who believes in working hard for what you want and not wanting a hand out from the govt or anyone else for that matter but I can appreciate community organizing, I have family members who are relied on for guidance from people who other wise would be lost and if not be but for the grace of God that would be me. God will make the ultimate choice and I,m glad he's God all by him/her self. God Bless America!
