While not the go go days of recent past, this economy is not bad, it is more at a state of historic "normalacy" Unemployment is at an historical norm as is inflation. There are many jobs going unfilled but they require skills that are not common.
Do you still believe this after the week we've had? If so, please don't vote!
BREAKING NEWS.....HELLO! It doesn't matter who wins the election, the events on Wall Street this week, show who really runs this country.....follow the money!
Be a democrat or republican, their all for bailing out the rich. Pelosi, Obama, Mccain, Bush, Kohl, Feingold.......in the name of saving the economy....for who?
They all lie...period.
This is from a guy that clearly doesn't know what's going on in the economy. Though I will agree that the Clinton Administration is complacent in this to a degree, the Republicans were the driving force behind the policies that led to this meltdown of our financial system. Lindsay Graham, McCain's top economic advisor, is THE architect of economic policies that led to this major meltdown of the world's financial system. His mantra of "deregulation" allowed the banks to write their own rules, and the lending policies that resulted are dragging everything down. And of course, the credit rating agencies that gave high ratings to sub-prime mortgage-backed securities were also lacking regulation thanks largely to the Republicans. This economic meltdown is a REPUBLICAN meltdown, and the REPUBLICANS are to blame! If you want another Great Depression, vote for McCain and his idiot unqualified sidekick Palin. John McCain = Herbert Hoover II.
Its obvious, you just don't get it.
Wall street runs this country. Their not democrats or republicans, their crooks. They sold this country the idea, that everyone can have it now...just sign here. Well Americans signed here in mass...be it a credit card, a car loan or a home loan. Well guess who owns you now. And oh, by the way they passed that little bankruptcy reform law...dems and repubs, that makes all you poor debtors...even more poor. Tell me both parties didn't see this coming. tell me that McCain and Obama did something to stop this financial crisis, before it happened. They both spew hindsight, when they both had the ability to stop this before it started. Clinton signed the de-regulaton bill in 1999. He pushed NAFTA thru, he gave China most favored trade status. Bush started a war to revenge his old man. Bush is bought and paid for by the oil people. Obama and McCain were both Senators during this time...they have no record of even an attempt to stop this financial bank robbing. How many of these wall street investment bankers, and ceos are going to jail....NONE. Now, they proclaim to back saving wall street. Great, save the bank and let the bank robbers go free. There is a saying, you don't eat where you crap. Well, these candidates are eating at the tables of the bank robbers and feeding the American public the crap! AND...or children and their children will be paying for this crap for generations to come. So shall it be said, so shall it be written!

Because I want to truly know the truth, I searched the internet to find proof about what is written above. Graham was involved in a bill that relates to this, but so were many others including Clinton. Clinton's and his administration did several things that majorly impacted our current situation. I could not find a source that showed that Graham is McCain's top economic advisor or one of his advisors of any kind. I could only find that he is a supporter of McCain. Can you please post sources to prove that? He's a link to a source of McCain's economic advisors and Lindsey Graham is not listed: http://www.usatoday.com/news/pdf/mcc...am-7-12-07.htm
Obama’s campaign want to make people think that Bush and republican policies mostly caused this situation. No doubt Bush and other republicans have made mistakes, but they are not mostly to blame. Bush and his administration multiple times raised red flags and pushed Congress hard to make changes. McCain also raised a red flag with new legislation several years ago. It was more of the Democrats’ actions through the years that caused most of this economic issue. If you don't believe me, just watch the two videos below. One explains the reason for our crisis with lots of cited sources, and the Fox News report video confirms it as well. Due to the level of this crisis, I've learned more about Wall Street and the US govt than I thought I ever would or want to. I even watched C-Span’s airing of the House hearings earlier this week (which I've never done before), and there were good and honest representatives on both sides supporting all of us citizens. Many of their speeches (both Dem and Rep) were inspiring.
Imagine voting for Obama, It'd be like Governor Rod of IL. Yikes! Can we afford Obama, I've voted before mainly dem, but now it's a pia to decide if McCain will do any better?

I can't imagine having to suffer one more year of republican BS, it's time for a change, it's time for Obama.
