Obama, because McCain is a warmonger and a symbol of American militarism and has capitulated to the extreme right on every issue of substance. McCain would appoint reactionary judges, pick fights with foreign nations, and his designated understudy is a religious maniac.

Obama's worst offense is being a vapid pretty-boy. That's far safer than the alternative.

Default McCain/Palin

Before the Republican convention, I was an Obama supporter. I have gone door to door and placed telephone calls for his election. Since the Reppublican convention, I have seen the difference between the two candidates. I now see Obama as a candidate, with really no experiience. His attitude of defeatism on the surge was the vote breaker. McCain supported the surge, while Obama did not. Ok, McCain was right. Rather than admit, he was wrong Obama chose to be another George W. never admitting wrong.
Also, I'm a vietnam era veteran. In the military, at that time, were mostly draftees. I now realize, that when I and many of my fellow veterans, close that curtain to vote, we can never forget. I still carry the pain of a Democratic President lying to us and sending us into harms way because he couldn't admit it was a mistake. I'm sure, if George W. had failed in the surge and our casuality list grew, the new veterans would feel the same stab in the back. When I came home, I was spit on by the so called American people...like I had a choice? My entire generation was formatted by the war. I haven't forgotten the liberal protesters, nor, the democratic party for lying.
Palin, with her son about to be deployed, knows the anguish that my parents felt. McCain, knows the pain of being lied to and bargained with. I urge all my fellow veterans to REMEMBER!!!

fxsts, the problem with the war is not that we were losing. The problem was that it happened. That is thanks to scum like Bush and McCain, not Obama.

actually McCain is a moderate not to the far right. that's actually one of the things that bugs me about him. I wish he were more conservative. he's definitely not a war monger. I believe that he is just trying to protect the american people and show terrorists that america is not playing around when it comes to terrorism. he is not picking fights with other countries, muslims from different countries have declared jihad with america. do you really think that if we leave them alone they will just leave us alone?? these people don't want to have diplomatic talks they want the heads of americans on platters. we live in a dangerous world. these are dangerous times. we need leaders who will be tough and courageous and will not back down in the face of terrorism. McCain knows what war is all about but i don't think that means he's a war monger. i don't think he likes war i think he knows that sometimes it's a neccessary evil. and as for Palin i think she has the tenacity and fight that is needed to help change things in washington. so my vote McCain/Palin 08.

McCain impressed me during the initial Republican debates, but when he won the race for Republican nominee I was really upset he won. I was rekindled after listening to him at the GOP convention. The more I listen to him the more I realize he's the right choice. With Obama, the more I listen to him the more I realize he's the wrong choice. Obama reminds me of a motivational speaker getting people riled up, but no solid plan. McCain seems more of a realist with experience of what works vs what has failed.
When the debates start I believe McCain will shine & those who think the choices through will vote McCain.

Wow Bush and McCain are scum??? You know I'd never vote for Obama because he is the complete polar opposite of what I believe in, but I'd never call him or think of him as a scum. That is what really makes me laugh at liberals and Democrates. Most are all talk about how they are so enlightened, open minded, and liberal with their thinking. Only true if you think the same as them. Thanks for proving my point DJAUCQUES.
