Hi I was wondering how is the 62nd and Lisbon/Richmond area? Is it a safe area to raise a family? How is crime? Is this area homeowners or renters? Thank you for all of your imput, if I like the house I hope to write an offer this week. Thanks

go to google maps and look at the neighborhood....to me its quiet. and has medium traffic depending on the day/time on lisbon going east and west bound. thats around the way from wauwatosa suburb
My guess would be a big fat NO. If you want safe and no crime you need to go to suburbs. According to evening news the whole Milwaukee area cannot pride itself on being safe, especially not Lisbon street. Are you kidding me?! This is one of the most dangerous inner city areas. My sister was driving through at night and somebody shoot her car with bb gun numerous times, but that's nothing in comparison to real situation there. You don't wanna raise family in that area and I'm not gonna sugarcoat it for you.

Well I for one tell the truth. You really wanna safe? Go to suburbs. Period. Or you can choose to listen to that child above me, but don't blame anyone later.
Point being - the whole MKE area is generally a lot more unsafe than suburbs, so you can beat around the bush forever but it doesn't change the crime statistics and the simple fact that you got way better alternatives to MKE when it comes to crime, safety and rasing family.

I thought this area was ok (62nd and Richmond) I was told they had a pretty good active neighbor watch group. Does anyone live in that area, and could really give me a birdseye view of this area.
Yeah on the wacky stuff!!! Endris Park is very nice. The neighborhood goes down hill past 43rd street. I would stick more to the west like 65th and beyond.
