Its sad and its true that while in college there were 3 to 4 blacks in each class.... but you only see 3 to 4 white people in each dorm at our correctional facilities.

Its sad that when I enter an establishment ready to spemnd my money that I earn I am made to feel uncomfortable so I leave...

I can totally relate to this!!! I'm not going to retype what I wrote in my previous post(s) (you can go back & read them), but you are feeling the same way I was when I was there. This is the best time to leave Milwaukee, while you have no responsibilties but yourself. All of my friends that have moved out of Milwaukee (including myself)are doing twice as better & are happier then they were when they lived there. The city is not very welcoming to up & coming middle class blacks, so what to they do.....LEAVE for other cities. Just like me & lots of others do every year. It's very unfortunate that Milwaukee has not yet realized that the black middle class is a very vital part of a city economy. From my own experience of living there a big part of my life & hearing the experiences of others, it's not a good city for an educated middle class black person to live or work in. I say leave while you still can.

The reason we BOTHER, is out of the goodness & kindness of our hearts, not because we expect anything in return, positive or negative. If it's such a BOTHER a person should not be volunteering. & if this is the career path they are in, maybe they should find another one.

Attudes like this are enough to dissuade a person from doing anything. I think someone else said "no good deed goes unpunished". That saying exists for a reason. This is an appropriate example. I'll remember this next time someone hits me up for a donation or assistance with something.

I'm quite sure I do not have a clue about some things, and have many more clues than you do about others. That's how people find their place in the world, if I'm not mistaken. So, having not shared your life, I can't have the same clues as you do, nor can you have the same clues or observations that I have. Becoming irate does not make it any more or less understood of a point. Actually, I'm not really sure I got your point to be honest.

Now, take a deep breath, throw it in reverse for a couple pages, and read my original post, which asks honest questions that have some bearing on the original thread. Maybe someone can conjure up enough self control to respond without coming apart.

Statistically, there are better places, but Atlanta has dissapointed me in so many ways. I speak from my personal experiences.

As for crime, Atlanta is getting more violent now.
