Default Notes on Milwaukee ? $$

Hey all,

Moving back to Milwaukee in a couple of months from LA. I last lived there in 2002. I am now 30, married, and have a little baby boy on the way. I think I am going to live back in the East side/Shorewood Area. I love the city, I think it's a great positive place, is so easy to live in and affords a great quality of life in so many ways.
My main question in appraising things back there is to guage the upside of earnings there. My wife and I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge base to the market (I am in Film industryand management, she is a business financial manager). My one fear is that salaries or earnings potential will be scaled lower, but I don't rule out what we can generate.
What is your opinion on that aspect of earning capability? It seems as if you're a guy making 65K a year there you're doing pretty well, but how many people are making 80K or above? (It seems as if people making 50K there live like kings)

Any thoughts?

Also, any thoughts on any new developments or cultural notes for youth culture (or young professional culture) back there in the last 5 years or so?
I am pretty connected to what's going on back there, buthave not had day to day immersion?

What's '07 MKE like? and can I generate big bucks there somehow?
