Default Somewhat new to Milwaukee

Hey everyone. I live on the east side and really enjoy it here. I like the fact that I can walk anywhere I want to go and there seems to be an enormous amount of restaurants, bars and just all kinds of things to do. The only thing I dislike is the price to rent and now the commute. I work in Jackson and was wondering if anyone recommended an area similar to the east side but closer to Jackson. The drive isn't too terrible but it does get annoying on some days and was looking for people's input on other suburbs. Germantown? Menomonee Falls? Wauwatosa? Any other ideas? Thanks

Is it me, or is everyone more dumber?

I honestly don't know of anywhere that is like the east side. I suggest you stay there & keep commuting or get a job closer. Why would you want to move away??

Not going to happen. Wauwatosa is nice, but the time savings is what, 15 minutes?

I'd stick to the East Side, personally.

Some people say Wauwatosa is where the east siders move to raise their families. In other words, if you're young and single, I would personally stick to the east side. Wauwatosa is nice but it's nothing like the east side.

Like the others said, Tosa is probably the most urban that you will get in a suburb. So you might want to check it out and see how it feels. However, like the others have also said, it still won't be like the East Side. You can get form the East Side to Tosa in 15-20 minutes. So you can decide what's important for you.
