If you're only going to be here one night this would be my suggestion. All of these places are downtown by the way, not sure if that's where you want to be.I would stay at the Pfister hotel. It's not your typical hotel. It's a very elegant Victorian hotel and it is considered one of the best hotels in the country. It's also in a great location on Wisconsin Ave. You can find them on the web if you do a search for Pfister Hotel Milwaukee.
For dinner I would suggest Maders. It's a traditional German restaurant with a long history in Milwaukee on Old World Third street. They do have steaks too. There website is
www.madersrestaurant.com. An alternate place for steaks would be the Milwaukee Chop House on 5th and Wisconsin, I think. You can also find them on the web.
Now for that beer. No trip to Milwaukee would be complete without a visit to the Safehouse. It's hard to describe, you really have to see it but it is the most unusual bar I ever seen, very fun! There website is
www.safe-house.com. There are plenty of good brew-pubs downtown but the safe-house is definitely the most unique and memorable.
As far as snow, there is about 5 or 6 inches in my yard right now but by 3/20, who knows. Most likely there won't be any snow or we could have a foot.
Enjoy you night in Mil-town.
