What has been your favorite concert in Milwaukee?
The night I was supposed to have my high school graduation ceremony, I took my Mom to see Rush's 30th Anniversary Tour at the Marcus Ampitheater. It was mid to late June and the weather behaved for us perfectly.
Rush came out with no opener and rocked for a nearly three-hour set. It was insane and a lot more fun than my graduation ceremony could have ever been!

Hmm, not sure. I've seen Smashing Pumpkins at the Rave, Pearl Jam at the Amphitheater.....I'm seeing Pearl Jam again on Monday but it's unfortunately at Bradley Center, possibly one of the worst venues for shows. INXS....actually my favorite show of all time was seeing NIN this summer but that was at Tinley Park, not Milwaukee, so off-topic.

Stevie Wonder at Marcus Amphitheater back in 2008. It was a perfect summer day, and he put on a great show! I skipped my graduate school course and took my mom. He was on our concert bucket list.

i'm gonna be dating myself a little and most of my band seeing days were in Madison, but the 1st concert i was at (happened in Mil) was Aerosmith w/ Rick Derringer. Seems maybe '77, and from what i can recall (hey there was a lot of smoke in the air lol) Derringer was actually better that night.
Saw the Cars w/ the Motels at summerfest grounds in early 80's, good performances but lousy sound (for that genre anyway).
But the one i had the most fun at, again sticking with Mil shows only, was seeing Angel City at Craigs on Hwy 100 maybe around '85 or so-. Always preferred the smaller rock clubs over the big arenas....

Same here, though I'd go further and say I prefer dingy little bars to rock clubs.

Angel City = a deep cut for Americans (though popular in their native Australia) and one I'm sure rocked the house.

good point on the bars scene; plenty of times bands like Bad Boy & Moxy Roxx could light up the night in a smaller venue; maybe a few hundred peeps with beers and loud music. Good times lol. I only mentioned the clubs like Headliners, as that's where i was able to see performances from Metallica to Pat Benatar in the early 80's, not to mention "MTV" type rock tours that would have multiple rock/metal bands that eventually made the big time (ie Anthrax). A club like that was big enough to draw in some good tours, yet small enough to keep the performances on a more personal level.

and yeah, AC really kicked it that night.
