I would totally use light rail, and I'm a property-owning, car-driving, tax-paying citizen of Greenfield.

When my wife and I go on vacation and ride rail in other cities, we always comment how we wish Milwaukee had rail transit. We would go downtown a lot more often.

If I was living in Milwaukee(or the adjacent areas) and there was light rail, I would use it. I don't have a car or a license to drive, so it would be a necessity for me.

5. Buses that coordinate transfer points better
6. Fewer stops in between, MCTS usually has a bus stop every other block how about in some areas we have stops every 5 blocks. Is their really a need to pick a person every block when they could walk a couple blocks and just pick up 5 people at once.
7. I wish we had a card system like a CTA card or subway card where you could just slide it through instead of waiting for people fish out change.
8. Dedicated bus lanes.

Now in terms of a light rail system, would Milwaukee be better served by trains that ran out into the suburbs like Oconomowoc and Caledonia or lines that just served Milwaukee County and downtown portion?
I agree w/all of that except the speed limit. I love it when I've got drivers who push the pedal to the medal. I hate that there are bus stops every block, that's ridiculous. Like you can't walk a block???? And during the day, waiting 1/2 hr. or more for a bus is beyond absurd. Even during peak time the wait is at least 15-20 mins. Nope, it's gotta get better. But, I am ever so thankful for the bike racks.

I was referring to the bus drivers that feel the need to drive 25 instead of 35 or 40. I prefer a fast bus driver and one who goes through yellow lights.

I don't think Milwaukee needs this at all. It wastes enough money on other things. I mean it's a neat concept, but let's get kids books at the public schools first before we worry about having light rail. Milwaukee's commute was recently named one of the best in the country if I'm not mistaken.

Wisconsin does two things really good: drinking and driving. Why would we want some stupid rail system when we can just drive home and get another DWI?

oconomooc is too far, light rail forplaces like that uhmm no. i park and ride the yellow lines from skokie(suburb) into chicago to transfer to a redline subway into downtown.

when im in wilmete/evanston i take the purple line to the red line near rogers park into the city i have yet to ride the blue line train into the west suburbs but these suburbs are in fact reachable by cta train or bus.'

wheras an oconomoc ride would have to be accompanied by something similar to METRA COMMUNTER TRAINS that go that far out in time

I would but that's b/c I live in Walker's Point and it probably be convenient for me to get downtown. Although WI.Ave is only a mile away I could just walk the 20 minutes.
