My commute is about 20 minutes. Only because I stay on the northwest side and the prison I work at is in Downtown Milwaukee. If I had the option of taking light rail,I would.

Oh well.

*Bump* anyone notice their travel times increasing? I find it now there are more people on the freeway at 7am than normal compared to last year and my travel time to work is 30 min to go from Walker's Point to work in New Berlin/Brookfield. Now on my way home it ranges anywhere from 30min on a good day to 50min on a bad day and sometimes I take side streets and it's just as long. Summer travel times seem to be higher than winter.

Live in Glendale (near i43) and work in West Allis. I leave for work around 7am and leave work around 4 to 4:30pm. Now that repaving is done on i94 it takes me about 20 minutes. Though if ANYTHING out of the ordinary occurs (an event, accident, construction w/e) it can easily double that time.

The highways seem busiest between 7:30 and 8:30 so I try to avoid those times.

So now traveling to New Berlin from Mequon is at 30-35 min in the morning, with no snow or accidents now the way home is a completely different story. Anywhere from 40 mins to over an hour depending on accidents and weather.

25 to, 40 home, Bayview to (almost) Waukesha. Though construction changes times often over the last couple years, especially.

I wanted to bump this since there has been new freeway configurations and expanded lanes and new freeway construction in our area and wondered has this improved traffic or made it worse in some areas.

For me, my ride in is very easy in the morning about 32-36 mins, however due to the absolutely horrible design on 41 Northbound out of the Zoo interchange has made me considered moving. My ride home is now 45 min to 50 min nearly everyday. 41 northbound just sucks in the evening and if I take side streets it's sometimes even faster, think about that 26 miles and side streets and long lights make it nearly the same amount of time to get home.

It slows down in the interchange and then speeds up but then slows at Burleigh then speeds up then slows down at Capitol then speeds up then slows down at Silver Spring then it speeds up then slows down near the Falls/Woodmans area.

Going from New Berlin to Mequon is not a fun ride, but when I finally get home it's great. The new freeway's and ramps have made some commutes easy peasy and others a giant head scratcher.

It takes about 20+/- mins to go from Shorewood to West Milwaukee.

During the never ending Capital/Port Rd construction I started taking Keefe to get to 43. I've tried Capital twice now that it's open and I think I'm going to stick with Keefe. There is simply no good way to get to 43 from the east side of Shorewood. I've even taken Hampton a few times.

If I'm in the mood to take Lake/Lincoln Memorial it takes an extra minute or two.

I go from the Milwaukee/Greenfirld border area to the Waukesha County buildings. It is 95% highway driving. It can take me 20 minutes. Then again, I'm on the road at 4:50 a.m. headed to work, and 1:30 p.m. headed back home. So that helps, sonce typically traffic is lighter. Especially in the morning
