What are some good places to eat at on the Eastside near UWM? Please give me a price range as well in your suggestions. Thank you.

Around the Locust and Oakland area:

Oakland Gyros--fast food gyros, burgers, fries, Greek salad, etc. $5-$10

Shahrazade--Middle Eastern. Good veggie lunch buffet, ~$7 or so. Lunch specials from menu are ~$7 also. Dinner will cost more ($10-$20). Great lentil soup and shwarma.

Shiraz--Persian/Middle Eastern fast food. Order from counter, select items on display. Good falafel, rice dishes, kebabs. $7-$10

Thai Kitchen--Good curries, lunches ~$7 or $8, dinners $10 to $12

Oakland Trattoria--haven't been there in a couple of years, but good sandwiches, pastas, salads. $8-$15

Other places in the area include Qdoba (fast food Mexicanesque, $5-7), Noodles and Co. ($7-$10), Chin's Asian ($6-10), George Webb (diner, $5-8), Lisa's (pizza,$$?), and others.

On Hampshire (off of Downer), on the other side of UWM, I like Sala da Pranzo. Good panini, salads, pastas, lunch specials--$7-$15
