Thank you, Enjoy EP, I think you understand where I'm coming from!

All of the other posters, thank you so much for your insight! Since I posted, we still plan on looking a bit in Cedarburg, but I think we're leaning more towards Tosa. We both work in Tosa and right now we only have 10 minute commutes (we live in Milwaukee, just bordering Tosa). But we were willing to consider Cedarburg if the grass was really greener and deal with the longer commutes. I think what I mean by missing the city is more the city vibe, diversity vs shopping or nightlife (you're right, Claudelle, we don't get out much now that we have kids!). We've been pretty spoiled with our short commutes (I even walk to work in the summer) and our quick trips to downtown only take 10 mintues. But mostly, I feel so comfortable with the people in Tosa. They are so friendly, so accepting and open-minded. I like the diverse mix of ethnic groups. It's very family oriented.

My only concern with Tosa is there does seem to be more crime compared to 20 years ago. I'm just worried that the crime will continue to rise over the next 20 years. If it were just my husband and me, I could deal with that, I just want to make sure it's safe enough for the kids. Does anyone have insight into Tosa'a safety in the future? Maybe I could start a new thread!
