Default Possibly Moving to Milwaukee

Hello,
I just received a job offer at the airport in Milwaukee and am looking at possibly moving there from Madison. I am looking for an apartment within a resonable driving distance from the airport or on a busline. Looking for either an efficiency or 1 bedroom. I am currently paying $475 for my efficiency in Madison, which includes everything except cable. Looking for something in that kind of ball park for price range. Also looking for somewhere, obviously in a low crime are. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations. Lately, jobs have been leaving the airport, not coming to it.

I think you might have to bump up the price $50-100, but you could probably find a 1 bedroom somewhere in Bay View or on the lower East Side for a reasonable price. With the smaller apartments, sometimes it looks like a few dollars can go a long way in terms of amenities or neighbors. The drive from the East Side is quick and easy using I-794 and Layton Avenue. Bay View would be even faster. Both areas are nice and safe.

You could probably find an efficiency for your target price, to be honest. For that, I think the lower East Side is more likely, but I could be mistaken. There are some inexpensive places. Also small 1 bedroom apartments. Check Craigslist to get some ideas.

When you find some places that might fit your needs post back and you'll get some opinions on the area you are looking at.

Try Cudahy and South Milwaukee, you'll be within a couple of miles of the airport. Oak Creek, St Francis are a little farther but still nice areas.
