Default is parking free downtown MKE on weekends?

Someone posted that it was but I find parking meters with no information stating that it is free.

You have to look at the signs typically (rather than the meters themselves).

I *believe* most meters in MKE break down this way:

-Friday: paid until 7pm, free thereafter

-Saturday: paid until 6pm or 7pm, free thereafter

-Sunday: free

Again though, that is just my recollection. Double check the signs (with the green lettering) to be sure.

Is it me, or is everyone more dumber?

I believe all meter parking is free on the weekends & holidays. Most meter parking during the week is free after 6. But like he said, definitely double-check, however I think you'll be fine.

Definitely not on Saturdays. For this - for the far majority of meters - I am 100% sure of. Saturdays are largely still paid, whereas Sundays are still free.

But definitely...check the signs for the parameters specifically.

The City of Milwaukee has a website with parking info. Here's a page from that section:

Parking Services and Information, Structures, Lots and Meters

Basically it's like this: parking is free at meters on Sundays and holidays, and is also free at meters on Saturdays unless posted signs state otherwise.
