Let's make Milwaukee area a state, after Milwaukee was a city before wisconsin was even a state, so we were here first.

Look at Panama City Beach, FL.
We've lived here for 10 years and it's pretty nice.

Milwaukee City, I agree with you. Now that I have experienced my first WI winter (is it over yet?), I have to say that I rather live somewhere very hot than somewhere very cold. uggh. Why is it so cold here?

Was March really that bad? Give it another month for real warmth and you might change your tune. If you live and die by the weather, this time of year where the weather can vary drastically week to week (or day to day) is going to be a bit painful. But then again, the weather you'll be experiencing will be a bit nastier the closer you are to the lakefront. I actually thought today was quite pleasant once the wind died down, but I'm about 4-5 miles inland.

It is really just the length of winter. That is what everyone told me, and to be honest, the cold frigid temps didn't bother me much. It is just the fact that the cold season lasts so long here. I know we are getting towards the end, but I'm getting really antsy now here.

I say Milwaukee County should be all 7 counties and annex all the land so there is no suburbs just Milwaukee, 2.1M

As cool as that might sound, I don't know if the people of Waukesha, Ozaukee, and the other seven counties would go for that. Many people move to the suburbs to get away from Milwaukee. I don't know if they would want to end up back in Milwaukee. As cool as it may sound to consolidate the entire place into one big city, many residents might not approve.
There should be two things done:Consolidate a place, or make every place incorporate(village, township, etc).
