Fine, you're entitled to your opinion but let me give mine. What would you think of me if I told you my impressions of Milwaukee were beer, a prolific necrophiliac serial killer who got beat down to his death before he could finish is sentence, Laverne and Shirley and the Squiggy knock off that came after? How's that for some tongue and cheek?
It wouldn't be my true opinion and I don't have much of a lasting one, as I could probably take it or leave it. I can tell you noone I know spends much time talking negatively about Milwaukee. Many enjoy going there to take in the games or Summerfest.
I have fond memories of Madison from my teen years when pot rallys were held on the capitol lawns. Crashed a toga party on campus and it was just like Animal house. A group of kids could have a kegger in a city park and when caught the cops would just tell you to pack it up. We had skip school day at the zoo and the local news came out and took footage of us. Those were the good ole days that make me think of it in a home like way.

I find that a bit strange....although, to be fair, there are people who have never been up north to their neck of the woods & I'm sure those people up there find it strange that there are those who've never experienced the "up north" ways of life. I'm just glad that I know both ways.

Those would be your stereotypical backwoods Wisconsinites. You can probably find these types in every state in the union. They never leave their birthplace and have no desire to do so. To each his or her own, but I quite frankly can't imagine it.

Milwaukee is already the capital of WI, Madison is just where our secretaries work.

You're just now realizing WI is a "good ole boy" state??
Actually I believe it's legal for them to be uninsured...that's the crying shame
Ahh well y'all got something going for you...cheaper housing stock than in Madison. Too bad my better half doesn't work in the brewery industry

Smoking Rope? Our property taxes are very high in Milwaukee in a Nice area. 150,000 6,000 a year in property taxes, have you seen how expensive condo's are on the east side and downtown? You can't get a decent house close to downtown for under 250,000. I usually agree with you however I think your way off on this one. When houses on the upper east side and lower east side of Milwaukee expect to pay 300,000 starting. I'm sorry but you don't have condo's selling for over a 1,000,000.
Right now in downtown/east side you have 50 condo's selling for over a million dollars in Milwaukee, maybe in the hood housing is cheaper than Madison but not in nice areas.

You have much cheaper deals in some areas in and around Milwaukee. FYI..our property taxes are very high.
Yeah those condos you speak of probably look over the area that Laverne and Shirley was shot or Dahmer lived, therefore making it "historically" valuable
