Default Relocating to Greater Milwaukee area...help with housing, neighborhoods, church

My husband recently took a job in Kenosha and currently has a 1 1/2 hour drive to work each way. We're looking to relocate to the Milwaukee/Kenosha area sometime this Spring or early Summer. Even though my husband will be working in Kenosha, we're thinking more towards Milwaukee or somewhere in between due to wanting to be involved in all that Mil. has to offer.

As far as looking for a house to rent, we have four children so we need a fairly large house with at least two bathrooms. Is there a good place to look for rentals besides Craigslist? I've emailed about a lot of houses and seen too many of them turn out to be scams. We're looking for a safe neighborhood that's family friendly. It's so hard to tell, when you're from out of town, when a house is listed and it just give the streets it's located by whether or not that's a neighborhood that'd be a good fit for us. Is there anywhere we should definately avoid? Any info on living in the Kenosha area vs. Milwaukee suburbs like Delafield, Waukesha, etc.

We're also looking for a wonderful church that's casual, contemporary, offers outreach, has a presence in the community, and has a powerful worship time. We've checked out Elmbrook so far, and liked it, but are open to keep looking. (I think we were there on an atypical weekend, so I don't want to make any judgement calls whether it's a good fit or not)

Thanks in advance for any advice!!
