Default How long is the winter season in Milwaukee

Just wondering how many months does winter last in Milwaukee? Would Baltimore be better in terms of winter?

Original poster, just stick to your other thread, come up with a list of everything you want, need, etc...and your background a little bit and I'll/we'll help you. You do not need multiple threads. Just stick to the other one.

Yes milwaukee has much longer winters than baltimore and much colder. In milwaukee snow is common from mid nov to early april in baltimore probably late december to early march. That is about an extra 2.5 months. And don't forget the snow in milwaukee covers the ground for weeks, sometimes months.

Snow in April in Milwaukee, while not unheard of, is by no means a common occurrence. Temperature is almost never below freezing for a day or so at a time, so it makes lasting snow almost impossible.

And it all varies year by year, but I haven't shoveled more than once since the turn of the year. (My area was lucky to miss the lake-effect blizzard that blanketed February). Every time the precipitation melted by the next day. December, now that was a different story.
