Default franklin-New Berlin-Muskego

We (Myself, wife and 2 yr old daughter) are planning to move to Milwaukee area. We are looking for the areas closer to Fanklin, New Berlin & Muskego. I need some feedback interms of the crimes and school district. Based on the charts in some of the sites I find that crime in greendale and franklin area is creeping up. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I prefer Greendale, it's a very pretty unique town with great schools and no busy streets go through the whole suburb. Franklin is very nice and upscale but more spread out and suburban, you would need a car to go anywhere in Franklin that's why I prefer Greendale, Muskego is even more spread out and you also would need a car to go anywhere. Crime is not even on the radar screen in any of these suburbs I wouldn't worry about crime at all.

Crime is not a problem in any of these communities. With that said I would not pick any of these towns. But if I had no choice but to choose one I would pick Greendale.

Greendale is the most run down out of Franklin, Muskego, New Berlin. I would choose greendale last, these last posters have probably never lived in Franklin or Muskego. Greendale is old and out dated..no new houses whatsoever. Greendale also has the most "wanna be thugs" out of all these suburban cities. It borders the city of Milwaukee in some areas making it less safe. Plus Greendale cops are the WORST...they will stop you going 3 mph over and ticket you.

Here is what it comes down to. For the safest areas, nicest homes and overall prestige it goes like this:

Franklin is the best, then New Berlin, Muskego, Oak Creek, and lastly Greendale. I sell real estate so I have extensive knowledge about all these communities.

The people who "stick up" for a place like greendale and say it is the best probably live there and suffer from "my city is better than yours syndrome".

Are you serious? You cannot be serious. Greendale is no where near run-down. To call it run down is saying you have never been to Milwaukee.

This statement affirms that this poster has no idea about greendale. The suburb that has the most wanna be thugs is west allis not greendale.

Old and out dated? again this person has something against greendale, but it is an upscale very nice very clean suburb.

I really think this poster is a troll trying stir up the pot b/c everything they said is wrong pay no attention to them.

wrong the south and southwest side of Milwaukee is the safest part of Milwaukee and besides Greenfield is in between Milwaukee and greendale

Average household income in greendale is 66,000. not a poor suburb at all.

Sorry but New Berlin has no prestige nor does muskego maybe Franklin but no new Berlin or muskego.

This person obviously has an agenda, pay the internet troll no attention. I cannot believe I just did.

They probably live in Franklin...

Anyway, my experience is that it depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a newly built home and don't mind driving everywhere, Franklin would probably be your best bet.

If you prefer older suburban houses/neighborhoods with a bit more character and living closer to restaurants, entertainment, and many more jobs in the metro, I would choose Greendale.

You aren't really considering any bad choices, it's just what suits your preferences more.

wiseinvesting didn't tell you about the 60 registered sex offenders in his/her zip code.

Greendale is a very nice place to live, I live downtown and don't have any connection to Greendale.

Careful, your agenda is showing... I've yet to meet one real estate professional in the MKE area that wasn't overly pretentious, decidedly ignorant, or any combination therewithin. Your list of preference is suspiciously lined up in descending order of potential commission.

"Old and out dated", hmm... I couldn't care less about any of these suburbs, but the type of people who "stick up" for crass commercialism above all other factors are not to be trusted. And yes, your rants about "wanna be thugs" and the SW Milwaukee border are ridiculously misguided and imprudent.

Greendale actually has a higher per capita income than Franklin.
