Which suburban area in what city or metro area are you coming from?

Milwaukee is anywhere from high crime run down ghetto, to million(s) dollar turn of the century mansions overlooking Lake Michigan. And anywhere in between. That just describes the city itself, not the suburbs.

As far as cities go, for a metropolitan area of its size, Milwaukee has plenty of things going on. I've lived in a lot of cities, and Milwaukee is toward the top of the list. In the last ten years, it's gotten much better too.

I've barely scratched the surface, though. It would help a little bit if you described where you're coming from, what kind of things you like to do, or the type of neighborhood you would choose to live in. I think it'll bring a bit of fidelity to the answers you get.

I personally enjoy the city and have lived there for many years, close to Lake Michigan.
