Default Lost Dog in Walker's Point Advice?

So CD'ers here's the situation. My wife let out our chihuahua/terrier dog sat at 630am and fell asleep and we both woke up 4hrs later to find our dog missing. Our dog(tucker) has been professionally trained and wouldn't wander off but then again we are talking about a dog. Our yard is below ground and is covered by trees and bushes really thick bushes. So nobody could've seen him and we are thinking he ran off for the first time in 4 yrs. We accidentally left him outside once when we went and watched the US Bank fireworks, 4 hours later their he was siting right in front of the back door, that's why we think someone stole him but not ruling out the fact that he could've wandered off. I went to Madacc twice since Saturday and no luck and the city of Milwaukee hasn't picked up any dead dog's so we are holding out hope. We are putting up flyers tomorrow and putting on it reward 500.00. Is this too much? any advice? I have to say I never lost a dog and never owned a dog before and I must say this really hurts and sucks too lose a dog. What to do if someone stole him?

Here are some pic's

That really sucks. Losing a pet can be as painful as losing a family member. Hopefully he just ran away for some excitement and will return on his own. Have you tried the Humane Society or any other shelters besides the City's Animal Control?

Humane Society won't take pets in until they have been at the Milwaukee Domestic Animal Control Center for about a month. Then they stay their until they are adopted. So we will be checking every day at Milwaukee Domestic Animal Control Commission

Is he microchipped? Looks like he has tags anyway, which is a big help.
Hate to ask, but, do you see coyotes at all by you?
I would ask any children/teens you see to keep an eye out because they know what's going on,
and no $500 isn't too much to offer, because money could definitely make someone return him.
Good luck!

I would also post it on Craigs List because people who love pets will be all over looking for him,
and even if some are mean and unhelpful, the more you get the word out the better your chances are.

He is not microchipped, didn't even know what that was until I went to madacc. His tags fell off the day before he went missing.

oh no!
But in a way that actually ups the chance some kind soul found him who doesn't want to turn him over to animal control but has no way to figure out where he belongs.
I'd say plaster the area with pics, especially places like Alterra that draw crowds from all around the nearby area...

That's a really good idea, and I second your idea about posting on craigslist.
