Unhappy question about East Side

I'm pretty fed up with the street parking, tickets, having to move my car all the time, etc of East Side parking. I found a heated, underground nice parking spot on Craigslist I am looking into.

I know this is going to sound really paranoid, but would you be afraid to walk from Brady @ Prospect to Brady @ Warren at, say, 1am? I work until 12:30 and will not get back home until close to 1. I want to rent the parking spot but am not sure how I feel about walking around in the night, even if it only is 0.2 miles. I am female and don't exactly look like the type that could fight off anyone.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't worry but anywhere after dark you should always be more cautious. Overall you shouldn't feel worried, maybe for a little added comfort you may want to get some pepper spray if that would make you feel better.

Brady isn't usually a deserted street at 1am but it has its share of weirdos. Always be aware of your surroundings and look for anything suspicious. Don't talk on your cell while walking. That usually broadcasts that you are there and makes you less aware of the surroundings. Keeping pepper spray in your bag or in your pocket is always a good idea. Drive the route before you park to look for anything suspicious and you should be fine.

The only thing I have heard about the East Side of Milwaukee is the hipster population.

I didn't know that. I thought the east part of MKE was where the hipster scene was.

Yes. Just be cautious, only because you should always do that.

.2 miles isn't the longest distance. You shouldn't feel to worried covering that walk, its probably no worse off than going from your current parking spot to your home.

Just utilize comon sense and follow the advice from the above posts - be careful and be aware.
