Default Moving to Pewaukee Area

My family (husband and two sons 8 and 2) are investigating a potential job relocaton to the Pewaukee area. We are currently living in the suburbs of Chicago. We would appreciate any insight in where we should begin our search for a place to call home in WI. Schools and community are a top priority, we are not interested in what the "Jones'" are up to. We're in the range of 600K and are potentially looking at buying a lot and building. Any ideas? Thanks!

Pewaukee area would be perfect along with Delafield, Richfield, Brookfield, Wales, Oconomowoc Area and Hartford areas as well. All schools in Milwaukee's Lake Country are very good and pretty much anywhere you look in Waukesha County. Keep in mind their two Pewaukee's the Village of Pewaukee which is actually the city portion on the east side of Pewaukee Lake and the "city" of pewaukee is everything that surrounds the village of pewaukee. So the City of Pewaukee is more rural and the village of pewaukee is more of a city.

I hope this pic helps

600 you could actually be on the water!
I think the "Jones" thing is more prevalent in Delafield/Brookfield,
less so in Wales and far north like Merton.
Pewaukee and Oconomowoc public schools are nowhere near as well ranked as
Kettle Moraine/Arrowhead - many kids transfer in from those areas.
