Default Question About Rentals Called Cottages

I've been researching rentals in Milwaukee and have seen several listed as cottages on Craigslist in the Bayview and Riverwest areas. I've looked up the street view of these addresses and they look like regular houses. Does anyone know what is being considered a cottage? Is it more like a upper/lower or single family? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Probably just a small house, I would input the address into google maps and use street view to double to check the house and area.

It's usually a single-family home that is found behind the main home. You know, like a guest cottage. In essence, you'd have the whole place to yourself. Kudos on finding one, they're hard to come by.

You'll probably have to pay for heat, just a warning. And heat runs pretty high here. But it'll also probably include a parking spot or garage space, a big plus in the winter.

Commonly in the Oconomowoc/Waukesha county areas and UpNorth around lakes "cottage" means no heat - as in a three season house...
But those seem right in the city

Karfar, you were correct. It is like a guest cottage that sits behind the house. Unfortunatly this one had no off street parking and that is a requirement for me. My first winter back from the desert so I'm not up for scraping the car every morning before work. ;-) I'll keep looking for something though.
