Best neighborhood for Trick or Treating
I'm fairly new to the area and am planning to take my boys trick or treating this weekend. Where should we go??? Obviously, I would like a safe neighborhood, nice sidewalks suitable for a stroller, and houses fairly close together (for those times my toddler decides to walk).
Thanks for your ideas!

I'd think Bayview, Shorewood or Whitefish Bay.

If you're in northwest milwaukee, I would go to Menomonee Falls & possibly Germantown. You should get some good candy loot there.

The best is probably your own neighborhood. It gives you a chance to meet with the neighbors and get to know everyone. Trick or treating isn't all about "getting loot" for the kids, it's a way to interact with the neighborhood and for the kids to meet their friends and maybe make new ones.

Amen! I know Trick or treating was much different when I was a kid, but that's life, although there is something to be said about doing it in the dark with jack o lanterns on porches etc..

Stay in your own neighborhood. People can generally tell if you're an outsider. Plus, it's more fun for the kids to trick or treat with other kids in your neighborhood.

Thanks for the ideas! We are planning to take our kids to the zoo, heard it has a great trick or treat program.
