Default Adopt/Sponsor a family for Christmas?

Does anyone know any places that organize an adopt/sponsor a family/individual for Christmas? Where I came from it was easy to find, but I can't find anything for Milwaukee. Some organizations had families as well as individuals that needed help during the holidays and the Dept. of Mental Health would organize it for individuals who no longer had family helping them. Thanks!

You can go to the following website for information on how to adopt a family: Sojourner Truth House - Preventing Domestic Violence, Promoting Domestic Respect
Also you can go to the salvation army website Greater Milwaukee: home and they sometimes have information about adopting families for the holidays.

Good luck.

You can check with United Way, they usually sponsor families each year, also check out Project Angel Tree!

Hello I seen your ad and we have also tried all kinds of things with no help or we were to late, here is an ad I placed on here and Craigslist, but still no help. God Bless and Good luck.
Hello and thank you for looking. PLEASE DO NOT FLAG, I KNOW THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE THAT LIKE TO FLAG HERE, BUT THIS IS NOT A SCAM AND THIS AD IS BEING PLACED UNDER ITEMS WANTED WITH NO HARM TO ANYONE. THANKS.

We (my family and I) (wife,2 kids and myself) are in need of a Christmas Tree, some lights and decorations for the outside and for the tree. If anyone can help.

They can be old or used or new, beggars can not be choosers.

I would not be asking but we are only a couple of weeks from Christmas and we need a hand. I had Brain Surgery for an Aneurysm and I haven't been able to work full time for about 6 months now, my wife is disabled with 6 blown discs and my son has down syndrome. So to say the least, we are hurting and in need of a hand.

The Church has been helping a little with some food but as for a tree or decorations they do not have the resources to help. Its bad enough we wont have the money for a few toys or cloths for the kids this year, but it would mean the world to them to have a tree and to maybe have it decorated.

I know the economy is terrible and there are many others hurting and some in worse situations then us, but through out the years, I have helped many others and I just thought I would throw this out there and see if we can possibly get a little help as well.

I am a painter by trade and very good at what I do, if someone needs something painted, I am willing to work for some help. This is nothing I would normally do, but I have to put my pride and self worth aside and think about my kids and family. And as a man, I really need a hand. We are good honest caring, loving people and we are a Church going family and members of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greendale.

We have tried toys for tots and the salvation army and they are suppose to get back to us, but we might be a little to late because I waited so long. If you can help in any way or need some work done and I can make my own money to buy the few things we need. Please email me back at buddabear38@yahoo.com My name is Ken and I wish you the very best, a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy Healthy New Year. God Bless and if nothing else please just say a prayer for my family. Thanks again.
