Default First Time Home Buyer

Greetings,

My wife and I are looking to buy a house for the first time. I have lived in Milwaukee for almost 3 years now and she has lived here for 4 so we know the city fairly well but it seems like the neighborhoods go from good to bad really really quick. She works in Wauwatosa and my job is 100% travel so location is not as important to me.

We are not really interested in spending over 150k at this time for a house and are not too picky but one thing we do want is a yard and some space and a garage in a safe area. Are there any neighborhoods or zip codes that would be a good suggestion? It seems that everytime we find a house we like on the inside the yard is either non existent or extremely tiny.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I would look into Greenfield, Greendale, Wilson Park neighborhood in Milwaukee, Morgandale neighborhood, Jackson Park neighborhood, any thing south of Oklahoma is good also.
