What part of the 494-694 Twin City loop has the best scenery, or for any other reason is your favorite part. Thanks!

Mine has to be around 494 right off of Cedar when you drive past the airport, light rail, and MOA. So much hustle and bustle, I tend to enjoy it. Plus it has good traffic flow!

I like the Part by Eden Prairie coming from the north on 494 from Plymouth. First you see the EP clock tower, and as you turn the corner you see all the beautiful office buildings from EP. Then as you straighten out and head east all the glass office buildings in Bloomington. Plus the views of the MN river valley to the right and the skyline to the left.

The exit.

Too dang crowded. I take side streets when I can - American Boulevard is great for avoiding the worst parts in Bloomington. I don't take in the scenery much because the parts I take have a lot of merging traffic - I miss the old Northwestern Bank weatherball though.

For scenery I like Cedar, with that magnificent iron bridge and the view over the river, and then it opens up and you can go fast and straight down to Apple Valley.

I agree with Haver.

The exit.

The signs that say "no bicycles and pedestrians" allowed. I love being told that I'm not important enough to be accomodated on a major highway.

I dislike that loop for the most part, but if there is a part that I don't mind as much as the rest, it's the Minnesota River crossing area.

Speaking of Minnesota River crossings, my favorite one is the Bloomington Ferry crossing--the previous one. (The long-closed Bloomington Ferry Road crossing was a beautiful Sunday drive, when it wasn't flooded, of course.)

Might be a little off-topic but still related- one of my favorite local interstate views is driving north on 35W as you get close to downtown and exit to get onto 94W- the sweeping skyline views are pretty impressive and you almost feel like you're about to drive into the skyline. As for 494/694- I'm usually too busy concentrating on all the crappy drivers...
