I remember that. Those doughnuts, brought to work by a coworker, were tasty. Nothing I'd wait over an hour for, however.

The obsession with low-grade chain restaurants mystifies me. There are great bakeries everywhere. And, yes, they make tastier products than mass-production fast-food pastry franchises.

We have Dunkin Donuts in Duluth and the quality of the food is terrible. It doesn't look like Duluth is getting a Tim Hortons anymore (we heard all summer how Duluth was getting one and how great that was gonna be). I see Mpls is getting 2 Tim Hortons. Trade ya our Dunkin Donuts for one of your Tim Hortons?

No way on that trade! Haha I finally had Tim Horton's (despite my grandparents living in Thunder Bay and me traveling there my whole life, went to Robin's Donuts) and it's pretty good donuts. The Voodoo Doughnut type places are light years better though. Tried Dunkin Donuts last evening and your spot on, terrible compared to Tim Horton's and won't be going back.

Default Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins opens in West St. Paul

Just this past weekend, the combination Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins store just opened at 1224 South Robert Street in West St. Paul. Their newly opened Dunkin location is the first for Minnesota to also have a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream inside, and the only Baskin Robbins in the state of Minnesota.

Tim Horton's opened in Maplewood this past September with locations in Downtown St. Paul and Forest Lake under construction. A possible Tim Horton's site in Eagan is now under consideration.

Any local TV commercials for Dunkin Donuts?

In Boston, this is their home, and we're inundated year sfter year with TV commercials and billboards, often with Patriots players or otherher local athletes in the ads.

Supposedly, most people here like the coffee, not into the donuts so much, as they're just trucked into each store nowadays.

Someone has been bringing Tim Horton's doughnuts to my work for the last few Friday's. I have to say they're definitely nothing special.

I think Supermom's and Cub Foods have doughnuts that are just as good.

I grew up on the east coast with fond memories of jelly doughnuts from DD. But agreed, when I tasted Cubs or Bylerlys, they were at least as good. And as an adult, a doughnut never fits into my diet, so I have little desire for a DD's in my area

But they’re apparently good enough for you to eat them.
