I've been here 1 week now and already love it here..

So I've been stocking up on groceries and could use some help locating a few items.

Veal Patties (A frozen item that looks just like a breaded chicken puck)

Good Rye Bread (Beef Steak brand is terrible)
This is what I bought in Denver:

Rosoff Half Sour Pickles (always found next to the cold Claussen pickles)
I found a different brand at Lunds and I had to pay $4.29 for a bottle of only 6 pickles

Ken's Dressing (I am looking for these 2 very specific styles of Italian) Here are 2 photos of them:

Italian Dressing & Marinade: (note this is the "marinade" type)

Chef's Reserve Italian:

Seafood:
Where can I find Lobsters "live" in the tanks to buy from?

Where can I find "Steamer Clams"? (The North East Coast type)

Where is the best (reasonable priced) place to get fresh North Atlantic COD fish?

Where is the best place (in the general St. Paul area) to get "Farmers Market" grade Vegetables?
Where (in the general St. Paul area) can I buy really good fresh Polish, Lithuanian, or German Sausages?

Now did I make anybody hungry ??

Thanks for the help....

Welcome to St Paul! We have a wide variety of food options in the Twin Cities, but I'm just going to quickly list off some immediate suggestions off the top of my head.

You may want to check out the Mississippi Market Co Op - there's one on Dale and Selby and a larger location on W 7th. I'm sure you'll find vegetables and bread to your liking. As far as sausages, what immediately came to mind was a place called Kramarczuk's in NE Minneapolis.

Have you tried Cub or Rainbow? It seems that they would be likely to have your particular kinds of salad dressing and veal patties.

I can't help you with the others. I'm sure someone else knows

The bread looks like "Brownberry" bread. The packaging is very similar. I have never heard of "Ken's" brand. You might want to ask at your grocery store to see if they can get it for you. I don't eat seafood so I can't help you much with that but I have seen live Lobster at Byerly's.

I've purchased Ken's dressings at Rainbow but I don't recall if those were there. For the rest I'd try Byerlys.

Kowalski might have the pickles, among other things.

Walmart, Cub, Rainbow all have Ken's Dressing, but no these flavors of Italian.
Ken's makes like 8 different flavors of Italian.

I live near the 7 so I'll check out the Mississippi Market Co Op this week.

I'll have to seek out Byerlys and Kowalski markets to see what they have.
So far I've shopped Rainbow (best prices), Cub, Walmart, and Lunds.

Have you checked out Coastal Seafoods on Snelling and Grand? Whole Foods on Fairview and Grand has good seafood, also.

Also, try Kiev Foods on West 7th for sausages, rye bread, and maybe pickles.

Places like cub foods should have live lobsters. Just about any grocery store I believe.
