Default Anybody in Minneapolis from Seattle or Denver?

I loved Denver and hate Seattle (just my opinion so please don't be offended. It just isn't for me). Denver - great active lifestyles, normal traffic and things close by. Seattle - bad traffic, nothing convenient and people hibernate all winter from the rain and then again in Summer when it's warm.

Any Denver or Seattle people out there? How does it compare?

Default Aurora

I grew up between Fargo and also Aurora CO and have lived in Brooklyn Park MN for the last 5 years. I thought that Denver and Minneapolis are similar for the most part.

I will point out that up here people stop for red lights usually compared to the Denver metro where usually you have to wait about 5 seconds once your light turns green to proceed safely.

Although statistically Denver receives slightly more annual snowfall, don't expect to wear shorts on 70 degree days in January here. (some people do wear shorts in January though, I think they have lost it, but whatever)

I will say the winters have been milder and more bearable than what I experienced growing up in North Dakota.

The club scene, I left Denver before turning 21 so I can't comment on that. I find there is a decent nightlife here, its not Vegas but its better than people give it credit for.

I think the museums and different events such as summertime blues and jazz fests are better than what Denver has to offer.

I would say the job market is better, but again I haven't been in Denver for 3 years and it has been close to 6 years since I lived in Aurora.

Crime is not much different.

Overall I think Minneapolis is better for my family, but Denver is cool. Besides California and MN, Denver is about the only other place I would consider living.

Default Thanks for the reply

I'm glad to hear you think the job market is better there an that it's good for families. I grew up in FL and I still can't wear shorts at 70 degrees. LOL.
