I still have to go with Stillwater over Albertville. Both are great areas but I think in your case Stillwater would be a better choice as long as your partner doesn't mind the drive. Albertville is still pretty "small town" and Stillwater is more cosmopolitan.

I know you say the commute doesn't matter, but it's one hour each way with no traffic... probably two hrs in rush hour and three if it snows... Each way. Why don't you rent a motel room in Stillwater for a week and do the commute before you make your decision? Stillwater's nice, but if you work in Rogers you sure won't see much of it.

We drove it from Rogers and it took 40 min which is ok.Traffic is bad in the opposite directions to Rogers during am rush hour and PM.rush hour. She will drive it in traffic when she gets back from Denver
Thank you.

I know there seem to be alot of people who are fond of the Stillwater area but it seems a little silly to me to purposely buy out there when you're commuting to Rogers every day. Maybe I'm the idiot though.

I almost thought the question wasn't serious! Stillwater all the way. Your basically comparing an average highway bedroom town with the oldest city in Minnesota that sits along the Mississippi river. One has townhouses, the other has bed and breakfasts. One city wasnt around 30 years ago, the other has been around for 200 years. There is nothing wrong with Albertville, but if you're telling me you have the choice, the answer is very clear to me.

All she said is that the commute doesn't matter at all.
