If you are thinking of moving to Portland ( Oregon ) -- Think very hard. We have lived in both places and while Portland is beautiful and has many wonderful aspects , its economy is very narrow and it is a very different place to live as a person of color. Think hard, long and if you are inclined, find a copy of "A Peculiar Paradise"
