Chicago style stuffed pizza in Minneapolis area
I found The Italian Pie Shoppe in Eagan online. Wondering if that is good?
We are searching for good Chicago style stuffed pizza. Any other pizza recommendations?

Dulunos is very good as is Broadway Pizza (quite a few locations over the MSP metro area, like 10+).
But NOTHING compares though to a slice from Giordano's or Beggar's!! Food is one of the greatest things about Chicago!

Italian Pie Shop is great, especially the deep dish. We order from the one on Grand Ave. Pizzaria Uno in Edina has good Chicago style deep dish.

Not compared to the real Chicago Pizza I've eaten in Chicago it doesn't. Once you've had Giordanos, for example, you will spit on Pizzaria Uno and its false ways.

Oh, come on. I've had 'em both and they are both great. But Pizzaria Uno is the only one that has a store in MSP, and that's what she is asking about.

Pizzeria Uno really cannot compare to Giordano's. Seriously! Even the worst Chicago pizza is better than Minneapolis' best pizza!

How about Green Mill?
Chicago might arguably be better'n Minneapolis, but both are *FAR* better than Atlanta. There are no good pizza places down here, and only a few okay ones like Fortunato's or Bella's.

Not even close.
Please bear in mind, I'm not saying that Green Mill or Pizzaria Uno's are bad (okay, at least unless I'm joking). But having lived in Chicago for four years and Minneapolis for 8, I can tell you that I have yet to find a Minneapolis pizza that tastes and feels anything like a true Chicago style pizza.
Of course, now to contradict myself, I will note that while Green Mill wasn't terrible, the couple of times I've been there I did not really understand what Twin Cities natives found so special about it. I've had far better pizza in the area.
Probably the best Minneapolis pizza I've had is either from Red Savoy or Cosetta's (and that was, sadly, 7-8 years ago). But they were good in their own right, not because they approximated Chicago style (which they don't).

I used to go to that place in 1978. The hostess Sherrie LeLonde was in my highschool.......... so cute !
Anyway, I digress. That pizza was awsome. I guess it still has a great rep.
I made pizza down the street at Amore Pizza. It's not there anymore.
I've been away a loooong time so those others aren't familiar to me.
