Well, it's true. Insurance companies also offer discounts to drivers over age 55 who complete a safe driving course. YOU may think that formal driving courses are of little benefit, but the insurance companies have a wealth of data that demonstrates that those who complete them are involved in fewer accidents. Fewer accidents= lower claims= lower premiums.

I moved here almost a month ago and passed the written test on March 31st to transfer my license from another state and they told me I had to wait for between 4 and 6 weeks until they mailed my new drivers license to me !
Not that I am driving or I am gonna drive but it is a little annoying that they make you wait that long and the fact I don't hold a physical copy of a regular unexpired license..

MN is very weird about that. Most states give you the ID right then and there

I've known a few people in Minneapolis proper who don't have a license or car and got around just fine and still do.

About the classroom, yeah it's boring, and it would of been better if they didn't have us make stupid posters and crap, waste of time to make a poster that says "buckle up" or "obey the speed limit" That truest was a waste of time and something I'd expect if it was supposed to be an elementary art class instead of a drivers ed class.
