Two men and a truck - in the cities
Has anyone used or know someone who has used 'Two Men and A Truck' to do a local move here in the cities?
I used their website and am waiting to hear about a price quote, but want to get some firsthand info if possible.
Was it a fair price? Did they do a good job?
I have to move a 2BR apt next weekend and I'm sick of asking relatives to help me move. Both the place I'm leaving and the place I'm going have elevators so I'm hoping that helps my cost. I just want them to load the truck and unload the truck - no packing/unpacking.
Or does anyone have any recommendations for another business that will do something similar?
Thanks for any insight!

For what it's worth I had a good experience with them. Given, it was a really easy move.... we were renting a house and ended up buying one literally 6 houses down the street. We just wanted someone to move the big and heavy stuff. Very reasonable cost and they were done with what we needed them to do in probably 2-3 hours (faster than was quoted).
It may be a franchise thing as well, but when I got the quote I explained to the guy what we were doing, and since it was so close he just quoted labor for two guys rather than truck+labor, so it ended up being really reasonable..... some of the stuff they literally just carried down the sidewalk.....

Depending on what you are moving, the total cost can be cheaper if the company sends more than two people. The move goes faster and you're paying for the number of people, the truck, and the time the move takes. I've used Jet Transfer and they have been fabulous. During our last move, they called in some extra guys during the move to speed things up and save us the cost of going into the next hour. I would highly recommend them for an inter or intra city move.

We used 2 men and a truck about seven years ago and have no complaints about their service. However, in our later moves (and those of my clients), Local Motion has been the moving company of choice. Great service, free packing boxes, and the price is 30% less than the 2 men/truck price. Also, Local Motion does not have "surprise" add-on fees for that and that.
