yes iv seen the link that you gave, i hope they post their 2nd meeting soon. Imo, the park will not be "right" with that union gopel on it. Also, the ugly white highrise and ramp should go but thats maybe hard. Just imagine what the area would be like with a full park, a modern light rail, and a parks loop connecting the area to lowertown.. i think if that happens, shops, bars, resurants will flood in and change the energy big time....new urbanism
I liked the lofts there as well. Their the kind you'd picture in NY's Greenwich/SoHo neighborhoods. Much more authentic than some upscale lofts like at the Lowry Building or over in Minneapolis' Mill District.

I do fear Pedro Park could get watered down to only a half or 3/4 block park. We'll just have to wait and see. Most everyone I've spoken to or heard from supports the full block plan. Whether the city has the money for it remains to be seen though.

But the neighborhood is on the up. A light rail station at 10th and Cedar. The Penfield/Lunds grocery store about to start construction this summer. That will add about 350-400 more residents to the area. And a park in some fashion down the road.

ya i like the lofts....wouldnt mind if the kitchen and bath had a bit higher end finishes though, but i can upgrade if want. lunds and pen will be a big plus for the park. It would be kinda silly to have lunds, pen, LR, and new walks and streets ect. and lanscaping and then have a park thats not half way done with a old crappy building on it.....thats why if everything else happens, the mission should be squeezed out
