Default Looking for Temporary Plymouth Apartment

Hello, I am a 22 year old student that has a summer internship in Plymouth (May 29-mid August). I am looking for the most inexpensive apartment withing a 15 minute drive of northeast Plymouth. I am looking to spend under $500 a month and would prefer much cheaper. I do not care so much as to the condition of the apartment. Suggestions anyone?

Thanks!

Can you ask your contact at the company where you are doing your internship if they can send out an email to the company asking if anyone has a room to rent or anything like that? That will probably be your best option to find a short term rental like that. Otherwise, maybe call around to some of the local colleges to see if someone can sublet for the summer. That will put you a bit farther away but it's highly unlikely you will find an apartment for that price for that short of time.

Thanks for the reply. What colleges are located close to the Plymouth area?

The closest ones would be the University of Minnesota, St. Thomas, Macalester, Hamline and St. Catherines. They aren't 15 minutes close but still probably your best shot at finding what you are looking for.

North Hennepin Community College is something like 5 miles from the northeastern part of Plymouth. Hennepin Tech is a bit closer. If you can find a sublet at one of those, then that would likely work.

I'm not sure what the posting rules are, but there is a sublet in Brooklyn Park that fits what you are looking for. The add makes it look/sound nice.

Hennepin college would be a great fit. I cannot seem to find anything about campus living on there website so I'll wait until Monday to give them a call.

I am curious about the Brooklyn sublet. If you could message me the detail I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

North Hennepin is a commuter college. I'm sure some move to the area to go there but most of the students already live here. They have no campus housing.

Yeah.

Perhaps you can find a vacation rental although a low budget option probably wouldn't work. You may have success living with some college students that need a roommate for the summer because one of theirs left. I'd check Craigslist.
