Does anyplace in the metro have septic systems anymore?

There are a few areas that still are on septic, further out areas mostly but some intown areas that were former farms, etc.

ionosphere--most areas have either a mail box for each house along the street or many still have walking routes where the mailbox is on the house. We had that in our old house and I do miss that. We have a box by our driveway now. Some of the townhome communities have "street" mailboxes around us though. Most suburban homes will have sewer connections, probably close to 99% of them-guessing.

Do all or most streets have sidewalks? Here in Seattle, many neighborhoods, such as mine, do not. I do not like that.

Most do, some don't. The streets without sidewalks don't really need them as there is no traffic on those streets.

It's no longer maybe. We are moving there later this month and will be shopping for a house. We favor Plymouth and Maple Grove, as they seem to be the type of suburbs we would want.

Where did you end up? The cold isn't a deterrent?

Will be moving to a new house in Brooklyn Park soon. Love the cold. Not afraid of it. Now the mosquitos I've heard about in summer, that worries me.
